One of the foundational principles of Abrahamic faith is the acknowledgment that all humans are flawed and fall short of Yahuah's standard of perfection. This belief implies that the Covenant offspring of Yahuah do not hold any person, regardless of their faith or rank, to be without sin.
This concept is expressed multiple times throughout the Bible, particularly in Ecclesiastes, which states, "Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins" (Ecclesiastes 7:20).
This verse underscores the idea that no one is without fault and that every person on earth has violated Yahuah's laws at some point.
Similarly, the book of Romans proclaims, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of Yahuah" (Romans 3:23), emphasizing that no one is exempt from sin and that everyone falls short of Yahuah's glory.
Avraham avinu, the father of faith, began his journey with The Most High as an imperfect individual. The Bible recounts how Yahuah said to him, "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you" (Genesis 12:1). Later on, in the book of Genesis, it is revealed that Yahuah changed Avraham's name to Avraham, signifying a change in status from sinner to righteous. This transformation is referenced in the book of Romans, which states, "For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before Yahuah. For what does the Scripture say? 'Abraham believed Yahuah, and it was credited to him as righteousness'" (Romans 4:2-3).
Despite the belief that all individuals are sinners, believers in Yahuah also maintain that forgiveness, redemption, and transformation are attainable for all those who are willing to obey and follow Yahuah's commands. The Bible states, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9), affirming that anyone who confesses their sins to The Most High and seeks genuine forgiveness can be renewed and purified.
In summary, Yahuah's Chosen People uphold the belief that no individual is sinless and that everyone falls short of Yahuah's standard of perfection. Simultaneously, they also hold that Yahuah's mercy, forgiveness, and transformative power are abundant and accessible to all those who seek to follow Yahuah's Will.
As Romans 6:23b states, "the free gift of Yahuah is eternal life in Yahusha, the living Word of Yah."
