The ability to forgive wrongdoing is essential to the development of robust and healthy relationships, not only with The Most High but also with other people. It is abundantly obvious throughout the Bible that we ought to forgive others just as the Most High has forgiven us. In Luke chapter 11, verse 4, Yahusha tells us to seek forgiveness from others and also to forgive those who are indebted to us.

But, if we do not forgive others, our heavenly Father will not forgive us, as mentioned in Matthew 6:14-15, and this can impair our relationship with Yahuah. This is stated in the book of Matthew by Yahusha, who says that if we do not forgive others, our heavenly Father will not forgive us.

More elaboration on the significance of forgiveness can be found in the book of Colossians chapter 3:13, in which we are admonished to have patience with one another and to forgive one another, just as the Lord has forgiven us. In a similar vein, we are commanded to show kindness and compassion to one another, as well as to forgive one another just as the Most High forgave us in Christ in Ephesians 4:32.

Yahusha himself exemplified forgiveness in many instances, the most notable being on the cross, where he prayed to the Most High to pardon those who crucified him. Yahusha also displayed forgiveness on many other occasions. It is incumbent upon us, as his followers, to follow in his footsteps and forgive those who have wronged us. Jesus exhorts us to forgive others in Mark 11:25, so that our heavenly Father may forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Not only can the act of forgiving others heal wounds and mend damaged relationships, but it also fosters emotional and mental well-being for the forgiver. The inability to forgive can lead to feelings of bitterness and anger, which ultimately lead to the destruction of relationships. According to Matthew 5:23-24, where Yahusha instructs us to leave our gift at the altar and reconcile with our brother before approaching Yahuah in prayer, it is crucial for us to make an effort to forgive others as soon as they hurt us. Therefore, it is essential for us to strive to forgive others as soon as we are injured.

To summarise, the ability to forgive is essential to developing strong and healthy relationships, not only with Yahuah but also with other people. It demands us to let go of the pain and fury we feel, as well as to show love and mercy to those who have wronged us. As followers of Yahuah, we have a responsibility to make the act of forgiving others a top priority in all of our interactions, just as Yahuah has done in His connection with us.
